In the North East, development of National Highway

infrastructure is progressing at a pace which was never

seen before. Till 2018, over 3,000 km of roads have been

built with investments worth Rs. 29,000 Cr. In the next

few years, a total of Rs. 1.5 lakh Cr. will be invested to

seamlessly connect the 8 sister states of the North East

to the rest of India.
